أَمَانَة

How your wakaf is protected

Wakaf is an amanah. We treat it that way: your money is held in custody and released to the solar company only in stages, against evidence checked by three separate parties.

1

Give in lots

Each mosque's solar target is divided into lots of RM50. Pick your lots on the roof grid, or just choose how many. Every lot is numbered and shows your name, a dedication or "Hamba Allah", as you choose.

2

Held in custody

Paid lots go into wakaf custody under Majlis Agama Islam Negeri (Trustee). Nothing goes to the solar company when you give, or even when the campaign is fully funded.

3

Released by milestone

The contract is paid in five milestones. Each one needs set evidence, confirmation from the mosque and independent approval before finance releases the money.

The five milestones

Each payment needs evidence. A milestone without its documents cannot be claimed.

#MilestoneShareEvidence required
1 Agreement & mobilisation 10% Signed agreement · Mobilisation notice · Project schedule
2 Equipment delivered 30% Delivery order · Equipment list / serial numbers · Site photos · Mosque confirmation letter
3 Installation completed 30% Installation photos · Site verification record · Technical / supervisor report
4 Testing & commissioning 20% Test results · Commissioning / authority documents
5 Final handover / retention 10% Handover form · Warranty certificates · As-built drawings · Final acceptance
A retention (usually 5%) is held back from claims until final acceptance and the defects period are complete.

Three-way control

No single person can move wakaf money. Every release passes through three separate hands.

MOSQUE VERIFIES
The mosque committee confirms on site that the work in the claim was really done.
REVIEWER APPROVES
An independent wakaf reviewer checks the evidence and approves the amount, less retention.
FINANCE RELEASES
Finance pays from custody and records the bank reference. This is reconciled and logged.

Reports you can see

Every mosque page shows its stage, its milestones and how much has been collected, released and is still protected. After handover, the page reports monthly solar generation, bill savings and CO₂ avoided. Contributors follow their own lots in My Barakah.

Verify a certificate

Every paid contribution gets a numbered wakaf certificate. Enter the certificate number or receipt reference to check it.

Questions people ask

A cash wakaf (wakaf tunai) used to buy a solar photovoltaic system for a mosque. The system belongs to the mosque as a wakaf asset, and the electricity it makes cuts the mosque's bill for as long as it runs. That makes it a continuing charity (sadaqah jariyah).

The cost of a mosque's complete solar system, including panels, inverter, installation, testing and handover, is divided by the lot price (RM50) into numbered lots. Your lots are your share of that system.

Only after the campaign is fully funded and a contract is signed, and then only in five milestones (10/30/30/20/10). Each milestone needs evidence, confirmation from the mosque, a reviewer's approval and a payment by finance.

The money stays in custody. The trustee may extend the campaign, cut the system size to match the money raised, or move the wakaf to another mosque project for the same purpose. Every decision is recorded in the audit trail.

Only if you choose. You can show your name, show a dedication (for example, for your late parents), or stay anonymous as "Hamba Allah". Your email and phone number are never shown to anyone.

No. The platform operator's sales commission is paid by the solar company under a separate agreement. It never comes out of your lots.

Once payment is confirmed we email you a receipt. Sign in to My Barakah with the same email to download your PDF wakaf certificate and follow the project.
